NYC Millwork Painter

New owners of a luxury penthouse in Midtown East Manhattan recognized and appreciated the quality elements in wood paneling and wood floors, but envisioned a lighter, brighter home without wallpaper, medium wood tones on the walls and bookcases and dark wood floors. Thus, we stepped in to remove wallpaper, patch walls, sand, sand and sand some more before spray painting the fine millwork and refinishing the floors. We primed this gorgeous woodwork with many coats, sanding in between for the most smooth, lustrous finish.

Farrow & Ball is a British manufacturer of fine paints which reflect historic color palettes, or in their version of English, “colour” palettes. Their New White paint is named for it being more warm than classic whites for its yellow base. It can take on creamy, chamois, ivory and sheep’s wool tones, reflecting light and creating an alluring interior environment. Spray painting such a luxury residence is not for the faint of heart or inexperienced paint contractor. The desired result comes only from extensive involvement in superior painting projects with the best equipment and most highly skilled tradesmen. Refinishing the floors to a lighter wood also revitalized the interior atmosphere. This is now a more striking 21st century penthouse where light plays off the walls, and an unrivaled warmth envelops the new residents.

Residential Painting Pros

There’s Murphy’s Law that anything that can go wrong will, and even the best laid plans of mice and men can get skewed. In some cases, home buying and relocation consumes tons of time and thinking of all the things that need to be done in the right order might be a tad overwhelming. With this architecturally-significant Prospect Heights brownstone, time was majorly scrunched for interior painting to welcome the new owners. The job required professional level experience with such exquisite trim detail in a multi-level home and fast turnaround.

Experience like ours means we have perfected time efficiency, acute attention to detail, proficiency of application, quality workmanship and expert paint knowledge and skills. Protecting the floors and windows and anywhere paint is not to be is always the first part of our job strategy. Then there’s making sure the paint is high quality, blended thoroughly and applied with the appropriate tools in the most efficient manner. If these folks are not motivated to head to the park, they will be quite content in their ultra-attractive, professionally-painted brownstone home interior.

Home Painter in Milburn

Paper Mill Playhouse, the State Theatre of New Jersey, was established in 1938 in the township of  Millburn. Mustard, which has been around for thousands of years, is one of the all-time great condiments for hotdogs and ham sandwiches. But living among mustard-colored walls did not suit this Millburn homeowner’s idea of desirable room paint. While colors move in and out of favor and trend, the neutral palette never goes out of style. And the achromatic color of gray, in the space between white and black, carries many connotations and a lot of power.

Gray exudes modesty, safety and reliability. There’s an emotional tone of maturity – think gray hair, of course – and dignity. With exquisite white trim like in this room, the contrast offers elegance and grace. As a relaxed color with a subtle hint of pewter and silver, it automatically exhibits a sophisticated soothing ambience.

 Exquisite Trim Painters

Protecting the floor was job one, and covering the dull venetian gold with this feathery shade of gray made the job fun and exciting. One of the great benefits of being painters is experiencing the mood and ambiance transformations in a space as the job unfolds. Besides holding to the highest standards for painting and renovation work, our team is sensitive to the vibes of a newly painted room. We felt really good about this project with this lovely, intricate trim and color choice of the homeowners. Their satisfaction with our work makes it a win-win all around.

NYC High Gloss Trim Painting

You can add bling to any outfit or any room. One involves sparkles and gem stones, and the other often utilizes high gloss paint. Surfaces with high gloss paint are super smooth and known for being shiny and bright. They attract attention for their high gloss, which reflects light at 70% or more, compared with flat paint with absorbs light and has a single digit gloss rating.

Accent Ceiling Trim Painting

High gloss paint is often found in high traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms for its durability. It is easy to clean as well. It also makes a dramatic accent tool, and in this Big Apple residence, the wood ceiling beams and trim were painted in a lustrous dark color. The light plays whimsically off the gloss, and the entire space exudes a glamourous look with a touch of playfulness.

Midtown High-End Painting

The Paintworks employees are well-trained and experienced in applying high gloss paint, which can be the most tricky of paints to work with. From the proper surface preparation to the suitable brushes or rollers to use with high gloss paint, these projects can be especially intensive. Thin coats are often the smartest approach to spreading paint smoothly, first time and each consecutive application. These homeowners had a keen design vision to bring high gloss flamboyance to the beautiful architectural trim in their home, and we enjoyed adding a captivating high gloss component to this room.

Brooklyn Interior Residential Painting

Electricians are not painters, and we at Paintworks don’t wire electrical things. They do the wiring. We do the painting. So when a sharp Bedford-Stuyvesant resident had new lights installed, the electrician left some holes crudely patched and not painted. Right away we noted the uneven walls with rough patches and went to work. Of course, we removed or added as necessary the appropriate plaster to totally camouflage the holes. Then we sanded the walls for a sleek, uniform vertical surface.

We are able to computer match colors, and that’s how we achieved painting with the identical color on the walls. For good measure, we painted the trim as well with a nice, even finish. With this tall bay window, gorgeous wood flooring and period molding, this Brooklyn townhouse is once again a very inviting space to call home. The whole Bed-Stuy neighborhood has more than 8,000 pre-1900 structures which beckon city folks with touches of nostalgia and historical architecture. This client is very happy with the home’s refreshed, interior flair.
