Manhattan Mirrored Wall Removal and Repair

Soothing, neutral, soft gray accent wall now.

Lovely new accent wall on the way to charming bright living room.

Sutton Place Painting and Renovations

Mirrors can enlarge spaces and make rooms feel brighter. If large enough, they can overwhelm any space and the people in it, feeling like life is taking place in a carnival hall of mirrors. The largest hall of mirrors in the world was completed in 1684 in the Palace at Versailles outside Paris. It runs 240 feet long with unparalleled grandeur in art, windows and mirrors adorning the walls and ceiling.

Well, this Manhattan client was not at all interested in the massive mirrored walls in their new home in Sutton Place. We thought the place felt more like an automobile showroom ourselves and tired quickly of seeing our own reflections. Removing glass this gigantic out of the home and building took lots of careful maneuvering before setting about removing all the adhesive. Once that was cleaned, patched and primed, we painted it an elegant neutral with Silverpointe, a soothing soft gray from Sherwin-Williams. Now that’s a homey touch which promptly warmed the room.

Riverside Blvd. Painters

Painting Over Dark Colors

Riverside Blvd. is the new kid on the block for residential living, having been developed in the 1990s. Hugging the Hudson River, the former industrial site was home to the Hudson River Railroad, built in 1846 to connect Albany with New York City. Today, high-rise luxury condos boast hotel-style amenities and elegant lifestyles. Riverside Park, established in 1872, stretches four miles of 253 acres along the waterfront.

When their original contractor flaked out of remodeling work, a family with a time constraint found us through a neighbor’s recommendation. We loved helping them in a crunch. It is noteworthy that we became involved so quickly because we have all the necessary insurance documents on hand. Additionally, we are experienced working in this building and know what is expected and how to get the job done. With keen eyes and sharp skills, our team painted light colors over dark ones. With excellent results. On time. For a happy family.

Flatiron Interior Painters

Color: Benjamin Moore Stone Cutter

Manhattan Wall Patching and Drywall Repair

In 1909, an inventive guy named Isaac Shero patented a hair straightener composed of two flat irons heated and pressed together, likely with formerly curly hair between them. The electric flat iron was patented in 1882. Flat irons, many forged by blacksmiths, have been heated on stoves and pressed fabric and clothes smooth for centuries. The Flatiron Building, bounded by 5th Ave., Broadway and East 22nd St., has flat iron characteristics for its triangle design. It was completed in 1902, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989.

The neighborhood anchored by this iconic structure is the Flatiron District, known for trendy everything and the original Shake Shack. Our client here wanted to add paint color before moving in, and asked us to repair a wall where a TV set had been. We cleaned and measured that space, cut drywall to fit, taped it into place and plastered and painted. This wall and all the walls we painted look nice and new for a wonderful welcome to their new nest in the Flatiron District.

Long Island City Loft Painter

NYC Loft Painter

The whole fresh start concept covers a lot of ground, and a bright, newly-painted interior can be a great launching pad into a new home in a new place. A couple with their beloved cat were about to make the leap into this Long Island City loft, but first the old dingy appearance had to be updated.

With lots of windows and natural daylight, selecting Benjamin Moore’s Simply White made the most sense for maximum reflection. White also sets the perfect background for bringing in art, fabric and colors that take center stage visually. Long Island City itself presents an energetic stage where trendy eateries and modern arts commingle comfortably with historic industrial vibes, corner parks, waterfront city views, outdoor concerts and intriguing shops.

Sophisticated NYC entrance with regal high gloss elegance.

Tribeca High Gloss Painting Contractor

There are many ways to make a striking statement in your home, and exquisite high gloss paint in an entrance hallway is one of the most brilliant, literally. A recent client was intent on crafting a show stopper hallway. It was an amazing, time-consuming project which we embraced enthusiastically. It’s not every day we get to pour our energy and efforts into a space which involves this kind of project. One reason people shy away from gloss of any level is that it can magnify imperfections. Thus, on a job like this, there simply cannot be any flaws.

The walls were sanded and primed to perfection, then color-matched with Benjamin Moore’s Britannia Blue, a timeless rich, royalty-like pigment. Hollandlac, a product in the Fine Paints of Europe collection, offers a high performance, marine quality enamel for refined sheen and depth of color. Each of two coats were meticulously and expertly applied by hand with a brush. Surely, friends stepping into their home feel enveloped in a space reminiscent of fine halls and palaces in Europe. At least, that’s how we felt when the job was finished.
