Union Square Interior Painters

Union Square was so named in 1832 for being the intersection of two major thoroughfares, Broadway and 4th Ave. The latter was then Bowery Road. The park was completed in 1839, and much of the space which was once farmland was modernized with sidewalks, curbs, buildings and the city’s first theater district, the Rialto. Since 1976, Greenmarket has been a hub of fresh produce sellers before farmer’s markets were as popular as now.

The International Tailoring Company building was constructed in 1925, and little did the designers know that nearly a century later, residents in these walls would treasure the ultra large windows. Natural daylight flows in abundance, offering bright lives and interesting views to one couple and their cat. We painted the home before they moved in with Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace in a matte finish, all the while trying to stay focused on our work and not succumb to gazing out across the cityscape. They love the new look, all the wonderful light and plenty of room for the kitty-cat to roam inside and be amused with sights outside.

South Slope Cabinet Painter and Backsplash Replacement

There's no firm definition for South Slope's boundaries in Brooklyn, but Roots Cafe is here with New York-grown coffee beans, and Cafe Steinhof presents a slice of Austria with  Wiener schnitzel, cheese spaetzle and kölsch beer for starters. Some homeowners get involved in the 6/15 Green community garden, and others call in Paintworks to update their kitchen. We immediately embraced their vision of changing out dull wood kitchen cabinets with round knobs on everything for the sleek appeal of soft cream cupboard doors and drawer fronts sporting 3" contemporary hardware and a nice white subway tile backsplash.

The work began with removing old hardware, patching those holes and taking the cabinet doors to our shop where we primed them before applying 5 spray coats of tough enamel paint. Without disturbing our fine workmanship, we drilled new holes and installed the classy new hardware. We took out the backsplash and put in new tiles, then painted the cabinet edges and exposed panels before bringing back the totally new-look doors and drawers. It turned out to be kind of a jaw-dropping renovation, much more compatible with the stainless steel appliances and white counters.

Greenwich Village Interior Painting

Greenwich Village is one of the coolest and most historic places to live in New York City. The Village use to be known as an epicenter for the American Bohemia movement of the early and mid-20th century. These two rooms were painted with Farrow and Ball, which is one of the best paints to use because it has less binding agents, less water and more of all the important pigments. We were thrilled that we were able to paint this historic house.
