Upper East Side Accent Wallpaper Installation

Wolf-Gordon Manhattan Paper Hanging

With a keen eye for class and the desire to make a stylish statement in their new apartment, this family collaborated with our color consultant to determine their preference for the wall paint plus an accent wallpaper in the bedroom. Benjamin Moore’s Yukon Sky 1439 was selected for the walls, its smoky blue-gray subtly hinting at an approaching night time.

Wolf-Gordon’s wallpaper products combine excellent design with dependable performance. The wall surface must be completely smooth and uniform. There are many adhesives from which to choose depending on the thickness and material of the wallpaper. Then there’s using the precise amount of glue and lining up each sheet perfectly next to the previous one and trimming at the edges where one wall makes a corner with another one. Wallpaper installation is a demanding combination of art, science, timing and precision, and we happen to think this shimmery, dappled accent wall is very cool.

Brooklyn Paper Hanging

The Manhattan Bridge dates to 1909 and has some real international flair, considering that the arch was modeled after Porte Saint-Denis in Paris and the plaza is like the one around St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. As the old saw goes, no point in re-inventing the wheel. The neighborhood dubbed DUMBO, for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, features cobblestone streets and beautifully converted warehouse buildings. It is here that a young family is about to welcome a baby and wanted to bring some safari-style wildlife to the home scene.

Wallpapering can be tricky, and we have the perfect, expert team for the job. Walls need to be super smooth, which in our world translates to patching, spackling, sanding, smoothing, inspecting from all angles and applying the correct undercoat product for superior adherence. Application like this requires intricate attention to detail so the back half of a giraffe body in this wallpaper pattern does not butt into a tree or an elephant. It’s a precision kind of job where you cannot afford even a vertical fraction of an inch off or nothing lines up properly. You can see our work here – all the giraffes are whole, like the trees and other creatures. It’s a whimsical wall in a Brooklyn setting with an international splash from another continent.

Nursery Décor for Baby

The All American Hamburger Drive In opened in Massapequa in 1963, when a postage stamp was four cents and “Sugar Shack” by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs topped the song charts. The burger place still touts using the same recipes for quality and continuity. Bordering the southeastern edge of Nassau County in the Town of Oyster Bay, it has been home to the Baldwin acting family and Neil Diamond. And it’s about to be the birthplace of a new little life coming into a sweet little home.

While the baby is taking around nine months to make an appearance, it took but one day for the Paintworks crew to professionally prepare the surface and hang wallpaper in the nursery. The geometric chevron design provides an interesting accent wall contrasting with white trim, wood flooring and natural daylight. When time is of the essence, we respond promptly with all the supplies, expertise and gear to get the job done quickly and done well. Welcome, baby!
