MoMA Building Wallpaper Hanging

Some folks deem wallpaper to be passé but it has survived as an interior decorative accent since as early as 200 B.C. The Chinese painted birds, flowers and landscapes on rice paper. From there, the wallpaper industry has gone through significant changes in manufacturing and designs and continues to thrive. We were over-the-moon with this couple’s choice of a 3-D design for their MoMA home at 53 West 53rd Street, affectionately dubbed 53 West 53 to those in the know. It rises 82 stories in Midtown Manhattan.

The Paintworks team painted the entire condo before prepping this wall for a hand-painted silk wallpaper in varying shades of golden cream drifting into mystic beige. The phenomenal 3-dimensional abstract images range from rock clefts to birds to stalactites protruding horizontally in a Escher-style pattern. Everyone working here was incredibly impressed with the couple’s eye for drama on a wall, while keeping colors subtle and understated. This is sure to captivate everyone who steps into this room including the residents.

Residential Interior Painting in Brooklyn

Lots of research has been funded on sleep, sleep patterns and the effects of both adequate and inadequate sleep. Sufficient sleep contributes positively to mental acuity like concentration and productivity. It also can play a role in lower risks for heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. Weight control, athletic performance and memory skills can be connected to sleep.

 Sweet Dreams

Many factors contribute to healthy sleeping habits, including bed quality, pillow comfort, lighting, linens, noise and atmosphere. We step into bedrooms with paint, rollers, ladders, brushes, drop cloths and all the equipment to create an attractive sleeping space in any color under the sun. These downtown Brooklyn residents opted for the clean, contemporary ambiance that white delivers. Keeping the ceiling and walls all white enlarges the space in the mind’s eye and promotes tranquility in the room at all times of day or night. Once we cleaned up everything and tiptoed out, we kind of wish we’d left a Sweet Dreams pillow on this king bed.
