Cabinets under the island repaired and resurfaced, walls and ceiling freshly painted too.

Cabinet Painters in Williamsburg

While Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia presents the largest living history museum portraying 18th century American life, the Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn embraces everything of 21st century life for shopping, entertainment, dining and living in the Big Apple. Like its Virginia counterpart, several buildings are vintage, but the NYC version radiates creative vitality and contemporary vibes.

It is in this energetic environment that we were called to fix up some dented cabinets and apply a new surface, plus paint the kitchen walls and ceiling. The client had contracted for handsome new flooring, and the old cabinets were a dismal, dull, dated, uneven wood tone. We patched and smoothed out the surfaces before painting two tones of refined gray that transforms this kitchen to a stylish heart of the home.

Brooklyn Retail Space Commercial Painter

The mail must go through. The show must go on. The store must open on time. We were up and out early, arriving at Kings Plaza in Brooklyn before 6 a.m. to set up, prep and paint the accent inset walls to match other walls. The results delivered a cleaner, more consistent interior environment for shoppers and staff.

The Charlotte Russe store chain was founded in 1975 by three brothers who grew up in the clothing business in Brooklyn. They headed west and opened their business in California, naming it for a favorite childhood dessert. Charlotte Russe cake is a delightful confection of ladyfingers, Bavarian cream and fresh fruit. And this Charlotte Russe store is a delightful shop for stylish clothes, trendy footwear and contemporary accessories. All painted and pretty and open at 11 a.m. same day.

Brooklyn Metal Fence Maintenance and Painting

They say fences make good neighbors, and they also define space and add an attractive outdoor decorative element. Unless they don’t. And they don’t add anything appealing when they are rusted, paint is peeling, and materials are compromised. Wrought iron makes an exceptional fence for having a very long life, especially when cared for across the decades. This one is particularly beautiful in its design as well.

We were only too happy to remove the flaking paint from both the shiny jet black fence and charming rustic brick red steps, the perfect color complement to the soft terra cotta brick building. Since iron is strong, this paint could be safely removed with a grinder, wiped clean and primed with rust converter. The metal finish coats on the ornamental fence, along with a strong, durable, exterior paint on the steps, brought the whole front space back to its elegant curb appeal along this street in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Heights freshly painted living room with a view

Brooklyn Apartment Painting Contractor

Brooklyn Heights exudes an energetic vibe among historic homes on tree-lined streets, brownstones and prewar buildings, as well as lofts in former industrial digs and new high-rise condos. It’s an amalgamation of all things Big Apple folks crave – shops, eateries, parks, entertainment and commuter convenience. Life has a lot of moving parts, and one family needed to sell their apartment. It’s a unique space which required brighter paint and fresh wall coats to impress prospective buyers.

Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace paint was selected for its universal appeal and being “as delicate and refined as the lace it was named after. This crisp, clean white evokes images of pure silk, soft linen and simpler times.” [credit: Benjamin Moore] It’s the perfect complement to the classy golden oak parquet flooring and natural daylight. With a view of Manhattan, this newly and expertly painted residence just may attract a writer like ones who have claimed this neighborhood to be their home: Walt Whitman, Truman Capote, Norman Mailer.

The elegance of crown molding.

Custom Crown Molding Install in Bedstuy

Almost anything with “crown” in its name connotes sophistication, refinement, even royalty. And crown molding is no exception. When you want to dress up a room on a budget, crown molding is one fine way to accomplish it. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans all embraced crown molding in architecture, and it was a symbol of wealth and status. Interior crown molding, whether plain or elaborate, hides the seam between ceiling and wall while adding an elegant component to the overall décor.

We were excited to add character to this Bedstuy brownstone with both crown molding and window trim molding. Prep is always our first order of business, covering floors and furnishings as necessary. Once measured, well, twice measured, we cut and install, then fill all nail holes and caulk any gaps. Here we painted the walls in Wickham white while the trim got a semi-gloss coat for a light sheen. The room is still the same dimensions, and the interior style has been subtly enhanced with the vintage chic touch of crown molding and window trim.
