Exterior House Painter NYC

When this homeowner called us she was looking to refresh the exterior of the home for the new renters. The house hadn't had it's stucco exterior painted in over 12 years and it was started to show. The bottom picture shows before we got started. You can see the failing paint around all the windows, the accumulation of dirt is also visible. Our first step was to rent a boom lift that would allow us to reach all corners of this house. We spent the first day power washing the entire stucco exterior. The next day was devoted to more preparation as we scraped the failing paint, plastered any holes/cracks and caulked around all windows. Once was that was completed we masked off the areas that were not to be painted. We then used professional spray machines to paint the exterior stucco walls. After spraying the stucco was completed we hand painted all window frames and shutters. The client picked a boldly beautiful red to contrast the white house. The client was in awe when she saw the finished project. It looks like an entirely new exterior to her house. Very grateful to be a part of this exterior transformation.

Brooklyn Wallpaper Removal and Interior Painting

This family of 3 was looking to refresh their already beautiful apartment. The top picture shows the repainted nursery with a warm white color that goes great with the wallpaper and natural light in the room. The room is designed and decorated very well. Everything from the rug to the drapes has been thought out. With clean cuts around the window and wallpaper we focused on complimenting the already put together room.

The second picture is of the master bedroom. This room was more of a challenge. The first step was to completely remove the striped wallpaper in the bedroom. Once removed, we patched and sanded any serious wall damage from the wallpaper removal. The client chose a navy blue that looks fantastic with the white satin trim. The bold color looks great in the natural light and is a huge change from the previous wallpaper.

Painting Fire Escapes in Brooklyn

Fire escapes are iconic in New York City for their solution to fire safety and for their unique architectural addition to buildings. Because fire escapes are constantly exposed to NYC's rash of outdoor elements eventually paint fails and rust start to build on them. This can lead to hazardous conditions where the metal becomes oxidized and pieces become vulnerable to breaking.  On top of the safety hazards, the oxidation and decomposition of the fire escapes make historic buildings look decrepit and unappealing. To maintain the beauty and safety of our city, Paintworks and Decorating has made it simple to restore and protect fire escapes.

Earlier this month we helped a local Co-op in Park Slope, Brooklyn, restore and paint their fire escapes. We started by grinding off all rust and failing paint. We proceed to prime it with nothing but the best, Benjamin Moore Super Spec Primer. The primer helps protect the metal while also giving the paint something to bond to. Once primed the fire escapes are given a finish coat of Benjamin Moore High Gloss Oil based paint. The paint makes the metal more resistant to water, freezing and continued oxidation. This process adds years to your fire escapes life. The finished product looks clean, new, and vibrant. Whatever issues you may be having with your fire escape we can help.

Brooklyn HVAC Furnace Cover Painter

Everyone in NYC knows how important furnaces are to making the winters bearable but why do they always look so clunky and unattractive? No matter the age or model of your HVAC system we can make it look beautiful while making it virtually disappear into the wall. That is what we did last month when we repainted an entire apartment in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. The client chose a clean distinguished matte black color for the walls. In order to get the giant furnace covers to blend in we first needed to ensure that this shade of black was going to bond with the metal of the cover. We used an electrostatic sprayer that utilizes electrically charged particles to ensure that the paint bonded to the covers with a complete and even coating. At the end of the day it took 5 coats of paint to get the furnace to look like what you see below. The covers were a little bit of challenge but that made it fun and the beautiful finished product worth it!

Now the furnace cover blends in perfectly with the black matte paint job.

Ditmas Park New Home Painter

Buying a home is a big deal. The moment you step foot into that new home with the new keys in your hand is a moment of surreal excitement you will never forget. You also want that feeling to last as long as possible. One way to make it last is with a fresh coat of new paint.

We've painted many homes in Brooklyn but it was an honor to paint an apartment for the nicest couple in Ditmas Park. Located in a beautiful neighborhood just south of Prospect Park, the new homeowners loved their new home but it was missing something. Shortly after closing on the place they realized it was missing a beautiful fresh coat of paint to match the fresh start of owning a home. They chose Benjamin Moore's Super White paint to brighten up an apartment that recently had gorgeous renovations completed. The Super White made the entire place look and feel refreshed while showing just how big this apartment really is!

Repainting the interior of this Brooklyn home also gave us time the chance to fix any drywall imperfections. Clean lines makes the refreshed space stand out against the hardwood floors.
