Stunning Nike display with freshly painted backdrop

Fifth Avenue Retail Painters

Nike was founded in 1964 and sold 1,300 pairs of Japanese running shoes that year for $8,000. Revenues in 2020 topped $37 billion worldwide. Bednark has been in the full-service fabrication business for 15 years, designing, building and installing state-of-the-art transformational consumer experiences in display creativity. Everything Bednark crafts is made in the U.S.A. out of their cutting edge, 65,000-square-foot facility right here in New York City at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Teaming up with these impressive companies was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our expertise and professional approach to everything paint and renovation-related. We connected with the Bednark folks on removing and putting back up the display components. What a class act they are. And so are we. Our crew examined every square inch of the black walls, patching and smoothing them for brightening from basic black to brilliant white. Painting from a dark color to a much lighter one entails more than one coat, which must be brushed, rolled and finished with the touch of a few professional tradesmen who know all about texture, consistency and expert application. We liked being part of an expert trio composed of Nike, Bednark and Paintworks. It’s not the first time we’ve rubbed elbows with such stellar companies, and it won’t be the last.

T-Mobile Store Painter

Customer-crazed and employee-committed are two of the mantras for T-Mobile and its 5G network. VoiceStream Wireless Corporation was acquired in 1999 by Deutsche Telekom AG headquartered in Bonn, Germany, and re-named T-Mobile. The company operates the third largest wireless network in the U.S. behind AT&T and Verizon. With more than 98 million customers, T-Mobile must have thousands in the Big Apple.

To stay on target for being customer-crazed, the Manhattan T-Mobile retail store is dedicated to delivering a clean, fresh, awesome experience for current customers and potential ones. Anyone stepping into this shop is welcomed with a cool, vibrant, freshly painted interior. As one might imagine, a retail phone store enjoys lots of traffic, along with lots of scuffs and normal wear and tear. We painted the walls and ceilings in one of Benjamin Moore’s Ultra Spec® Scuff-X® products. These paints are specifically designed and formulated for lobbies, retail spaces, offices and places which are accustomed to above average use. And we like to think professional painting adds a component of comfort in a high tech, cutting edge, retail setting for both customers and employees.

Interior Shop Painting in NYC

“Every bottle’s got a story here” at Pour Wines. On the corner of W. 75th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the business is approaching 15 years of its value-driven, intuitive wine mission. The knowledgeable staff curates small production, hand-crafted wines and spirits and understands making wine selection easy and enjoyable ~ and affordable. In its ongoing efforts to maintain a radiant, winsome atmosphere for the casual browser and buyer, they called us to brighten up their space. Overnight, by the way.

With no disruption to customers or employees, our Paintworks team landed after store closing. We began right away protecting all the displays and especially all those bottles, every one of which pairs eloquently with some kind of delicious food offering. And just as many make a wonderful, stand-alone glass. But, this is about paint, not wine, and we confidently believe every paint can has a story, too. We love their color selection, and when the job was done before next day’s opening, we packed up, knowing full well it was too early for wine, so we all admired the fresh paint and inviting, attractive Pour Wines shop.

NYC Retail Interior Painting

When retail merchandise gets all messed up, someone has to straighten it out. We at Paintworks were pleased to be part of the solution at this shoe store. It got vandalized, and the walls and shelves needed to be freshly plastered and painted prior to rearranging boxes, shoes and accessories in attractive displays again.

We showed up with drop cloths, some tape, brown paper, ladders, rollers, plaster, brushes and trowels – tools of the trade to protect the floor and adjacent hardware, walls or track lighting. Once walls and shelves were plastered for a smooth finish, we deftly brushed and rolled fresh white paint. It reflects light more than any other color – or absence of color – and once again, the shoe store could open its doors. Customers then hoofed it on inside to browse and try on something new for a perfect fit for their hard-working feet.

West Village Commercial Remodeling Contractor

Less than 25% of Denmark’s 406 islands are inhabited, and residents strive for “hygge”, a uniquely Danish concept of life in which a mood of comfort, coziness and contentment reigns in daily life. The country is officially the Kingdom of Denmark, and Danish ingenuity is emerging in their RAINS [drip, drip, drip] stores. From Berlin, Paris, Shanghai and Antwerp to Vancouver, Amsterdam, Melbourne and New York City, people flock in for exceptional rainwear, backpacks and accessories.

With just four weeks to prepare for its grand opening in Manhattan, the RAINS management team called us at Paintworks for help with remodeling. We got busy tearing down one wall, adjusting doors and installing J Bead to finish the rough ends of drywall corners. The Paintworks team did lots of plastering, smoothing, priming and painting, too, including a brick wall. Painting over brick requires special expertise which for us is all in a day’s work. Our experts crafted a piece of drywall to go neatly over an oddly placed window. The store opened as scheduled at 361 Bleecker Street, and with an average rainfall of 47 inches in the Big Apple, raingear is de rigueur (required).
